Home cinema, also called home theater, are entertainment systems that seek to reproduce movie theater quality video and audio in a private home. The most basic system could be a DVD player, a standard CRT television, and a “home theater in a box”, a 2.1 speaker system with left and right speakers and a small 8″ subwoofer cabinet. An expensive home cinema set-up might include a High-Definition video format such as Blu-ray, a 60″ High-Definition Television with a “cinema-style” 16:9 format, a several thousand-watt home theatre receiver with five to seven surround sound speakers, and a powered subwoofer with a 12″ (or more) driver. The most expensive home theater set-ups, which can cost over $100,000 US, have digital projectors, expensive screens, and custom-built screening rooms which include cinema-style chairs and Audiophile-grade sound equipment.

And the Coolest is Jeremy Kipnis’ $6 million Outer Limit Home Theater.
The Museum fr Fotografie is staging a 30-year retrospective of the controversial Dutch photographer Erwin Olaf. Curated by Christoph Ruys, the exhibition encompasses the artists independent photography and film as well as advertising commissions. The survey includes photographic series that unite art, fashion and emotion, such as Chessmen, 1988, Royal Bloodä“”, 2000 (illustrated right), on the theme of the death of the Princess of Wales, and Grief, 2007, as well as video installations.
Aditya ‘Romeo’ Dev is a body builder with dwarfism made famous by being reported in the UK press in February 2008. Romeo can shoulder press custom made 1.5kg dumbbells, a notable feat given his 9kg (20 lbs.) body weight and 2′ 9″ stature. Although it has not been published in a Guinness World Records book, in 2006 they recognized him to be the “world’s smallest bodybuilder”.
Unlike many little people Romeo is well proportioned, having a head of 15 inches and a chest of 20 inches. He maintains his toned body by putting in long hours with his trainer Ranjeet Pal.
Romeo enjoys great fame in his home country and makes many appearances on local television to show off his dancing abilities. In addition to bodybuilding, Romeo’s dream is to travel extensively as an entertainer and dancer. One day he hopes to perform in London with his idol Jazzy B.
In summer of 2008, Aditya was diagnosed with aneurysms which, if left untreated, are a serious threat to his life. Aneurysms and Moyamoya are common symptoms of the syndrome MOPD II, which is the cause of Aditya’s small stature.
Pint-sized Romeo is well-known in his hometown of Phagwara, India – for his ability to lift 1.5kg dumbbells – despite his overall 9kg body weight.
Every day, crowds flock to the local gym to the see the mini-muscleman in training.
He could also be the worlds smallest dancer.
These cakes are just stunning. I’ve never seen anything like this come out of a bakery in my country and would be surprised if even the top-rated celebrity wedding cake bakers would attempt some of these designs.
They are made by Chef Omar Addihaoui and some serve up to 1000 guests. He works in Kuwait for Cafe Opera, a patisserie and cafe.
These amazing high speed photographs are the work of Alan Sailer, who is based in California, USA.
A normal photographic flash unit gives a flash that lasts around a thousandth of a second (a millisecond). However Alan’s flash unit is much faster than this, and produces a flash of light around a microsecond (a millionth of a second). This allows him to freeze things that are happening extremely fast, and to give us a view of something that otherwise we would never see.
Check out the below gallery for a sample of these breathtaking images of exploding strawberries, glass ornaments, paintballs, tomatoes, crayons, walnuts and grapes.
Alan used an air rifle, a Nikon D40 camera and a homemade one-microsecond flash unit that cost around $300. For context, a typical camera flash is one-thousandth of a second, compared to the one-millionth of a second of this special flash unit.

Paul first got interested in photography when he was just a little boy. He got his first camera about 50 years ago, and does photography ever since then.
When you look at his photos you can see that the years have ripened him as a photographer and he has mastered macro photography very well.
I would like to present just a tiny bit of his works: microworld. Water drops in these photos are usually around 1mm in diameter.
Waterdrops are optical systems just like fisheye lenses. The background is refracted upside down and mirrored.
You can find his flickr page here.
Some call him ‘The Lord of Macro droplet shots’. What do you think?

Meet Erik Johansson,a young yet very talented artist from Sweden. He creates his wonderful images by digitally modifying photographs that he took himself.
When you look at his photos you can see not only the mastery of photography but also great photoshopping skills. He has very brave ideas, skills to implement them and good sense of humor.
We wanna thank Eric for giving us the permission to use his photos on En Derin.com and of course as an exchange, we provide a link to his website: http://www.alltelleringet.com/
Happy viewing!

After so many years, I can still vividly remember the day when I got my first gaming console NES. I believe it was one of my happiest days ever.
My Uncle bought it in China, since he was doing some merchant stuff here back in the early 90’s.
While surfing the Net, I accidently came across these old NES game screenshots but what was amazing – they were made from LEGO’s.
So, for every Nintendo fan it will be a big pleasure viewing these images and remembering those careless childhood days. Here you go my friends!
