“A NEW iPhone app that simulates a violent glassing attack has sparked fury among parents. Broken Bottle 2 lets users pick a wine, whisky or beer bottle as their “weapon”. Using the gadget’s motion sensors, the end of the bottle can be smashed off with a flick of the wrist. The app, available in the iTunes store, encourages users: “Swing to slash! Thrust to stab!” The bottle’s edge becomes splattered with blood, accompanied by sick sound effects.”
