Photographer, KC Ortiz has a great show on at the Known gallery for the next 4 weeks which is well worth seeing. He is a photojournalist based in his hometown of Chicago. His first experiences in photography grew out of documenting the gang and graffiti lifestyle that he grew up in on the streets of Chicago. The focus of his work is on the world’s forgotten and over looked people.

In the early 1960′s the CIA recruited and led the Hmong people of Laos to fight the communist forces during the Vietnam War in what is known as “The Secret War”.
Each of the 2 levels is home to an individual man. Cage homes in Hong Kong are on the decline as many of the residents pass on as well as intervention from Hong Kong’s goverment over the last few years.180 children and their families call Ung Buu Cancer hospital in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) home any and every given day.
The aim of his photography is to bring awareness to the masses of those that are suffering most, often times completely unseen by the majority. His photography has taken him to all corners of the world to document causes close to him.KC Ortiz | FORCED REBELLION at:
